The Future of Comprehensive Patient Care
The 5th International Ayurveda Congress has been held in Ljubljana, Slovenia from 21 to 23 of September 2018, within the framework of the 11th European Congress for Integrative Medicine.
The Congress was honored by the presence of Mr. Sarvarjit Chakravarti, Indian Ambassador to Slovenia, as well as of Mr. Alejz Peterle, Member of the European Parliament for Slovenia.
The Ayurveda events were very well-attended by both physicians and other healthcare professionals. They found an equally great public interest and broad acceptance in the media.
Lothar Pirc gave two lectures: one for an audience of professionals and a second one for the general public.
He also gave a TV interview and an interview for a three-page cover story in Zarja, the largest Slovenian women’s magazine (circulation 80,000).

Following the congress, senior representatives of the International Maharishi Ayurveda Foundation (IMAVF) were invited by the Alma Mater University to discuss the introduction of the Maharishi AyurVeda Study Plan as part of the curriculum for medical training in Slovenia.
