The Maharishi Ayurveda Health Centre in Bad Ems, with over 30,000 satisfied guests and over 60 employees, has been Europe’s largest and leading Ayurveda private clinic since 1992.
It has received many awards and is located in the spa town of Bad Ems on the river Lahn in one of the most beautiful areas of Germany. The heart of the therapy is Panchakarma, the classical Ayurveda cure for detoxification and revitalisation, and for the treatment of otherwise difficult to treat chronic diseases.

Vedic recitations, as they are still performed by Vedic Pandits in Nepal today, are officially recognised by UNESCO as part of the World Cultural Heritage. The Foundation for the Promotion of Vedic Cultural Heritage has set itself the goal of protection, preservation, and dissemination of this precious cultural heritage. Today, the foundation supports 89 pandit schools (gurukuls) where young pandits are trained.
Appointment as Professor of Practice at one of the best private universities in India
As Professor of Practice, he teaches in the Centre for Online Learning with approximately 10,000 students at Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth University in Pune, India, which was recently honoured with the Academic Excellence Award and named “Best Online Educational Institution 2024” by Business Connect Magazine.

International Awards
In 2007, in the Indian capital New Delhi, Lothar Pirc received the “Global Hakim Ajmal Khan Award for Organisational & Social Vedic Services”. The award was presented by Sheila Dixit, Chief Minister of the Indian State of Delhi
For the first time in its history, the Russian Charitable Foundation has awarded its highest awards to Germany. Lothar Pirc received “for an outstanding contribution to the Revival and flourishing of peace, for greatness of soul and altruistic generosity” the gold medal “For honour and benefit”.
The award ceremony took place on 28.02.2006, in the Academy of Sciences in Moscow, in front of about 600 representatives of politics, science sciences, art and culture from over 20 countries.
In a festive ceremony, the International Maharishi AyurVeda Foundation (IMAVF) honoured Lothar Pirc, for his life’s work and and his achievements in the promotion of Ayurveda with the “Lifetime Achievement Award”.
