News: Since 2025
Wonderful days in beautiful South Tyrol!
I just had the great pleasure of giving a lecture tour in South Tyrol, Northern Italy, about my book “The Blessing of Maharishi – The Wonderful Story of My Life”. I shared some of the wonderful stories from my life with Maharishi, from first learning Transcendental Meditation in 1974 and meeting Maharishi in France in 1975, to more than fifty years of practice and service in Maharishi Ayurveda.
At the same time, a Coherence Meeting took place in Bolzano, where about 45 of us meditated together. The atmosphere was truly wonderful, so heartfelt and full of warmth.
I also spoke about the Foundation for the Promotion of Vedic Cultural Heritage, which I founded together with friends. The idea was born in 2011 in Nepal, when I was invited to listen to the Vedic recitations of the Pandits at the Pashupatinath Temple. That experience touched me so deeply that I wanted to help preserve this precious knowledge. Today, thanks to our generous donors, the foundation supports 90 Maharishi Vedic Pandit schools, helping the Vedic Pandits, the custodians of this ancient wisdom, to continue their training and recitations. I am convinced these recitations create a powerful influence of peace and harmony, not only for Nepal, but for the whole world.
South Tyrol itself is a blessing: such warm-hearted people, mountains covered with vineyards and apple orchards, and beautiful hiking trails everywhere. A highlight was our trip up to a mountain summit with a breathtaking view far across the Alps.
My heartfelt thanks to my hosts and organizers, Johann & Valeria Burger, Antonio Dalle Nogare, and Valter Pizzulli and for making these days so special!

A Special Invitation – and What Grew Out of It
Karin and I received a special invitation from Cosmic-Cine.TV, a German streaming service dedicated exclusively to producing and distributing documentaries. The platform consciously selects films that uplift and inspire people. We were invited to their television studio to professionally produce a Masterclass on Ayurveda.
The original inspiration, however, came from our guests at the clinic. Again and again, they asked whether the videos we had created especially for them — providing deeper background knowledge — could also be made available for them to watch at home. This request stayed with us for years and eventually inspired us to create a comprehensive foundational course on Ayurveda.
Over the course of several months, Karin prepared around 600 slides for the course. We then spent an entire week in a television studio in Leipzig, recording with two cameras. Afterwards, the production team joined us for another two days at our clinic in Bad Ems to film additional material.
We are very happy that, together with the production company, we have found a distribution partner in “Friends for a Better World” whose mission closely reflects our own: to share knowledge that can genuinely help people in their everyday lives.
Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest traditional systems of health and wellbeing. With the AyurVeda Masterclass, we are sharing the experience we have gained over more than four decades for the first time in the form of a guided online course.
The course consists of twelve progressive video lessons that you can watch whenever you wish and at your own pace. Topics include Vata, Pitta and Kapha, nutrition, daily routines, digestion, detoxification, anti-aging, Ayurvedic psychology, Abhyanga, Panchakarma, meditation, and the Ayurvedic home pharmacy.
The Masterclass also includes:
• 10 exclusive bonuses
• Workbooks for self-reflection, including a Dosha test
• A live Q&A session with Karin and me
• Practical guidance on Pranayama and pulse diagnosis
• 7 full-length bonus interviews
• Access to the Telegram AyurVeda Community
• Unlimited access, handouts, MP3 audio files for listening, and a personal certificate of participation
The Masterclass is suitable for everyone — whether you are just beginning to discover Ayurveda or would like to deepen your existing knowledge.
The regular price is €499. Until 25 October, we are offering the complete Masterclass at the special price of €349.
We would be delighted to accompany you on this journey and to share with you the experience and knowledge we have gathered over many years.

Plenary Speaker at the Global Virtual Summit on Traditional Medicine and Integrative Health (TMIH Summit 2026)
A few days ago I had the privilege of speaking as a Plenary Speaker at the Global Virtual Summit on Traditional Medicine and Integrative Health (TMIH Summit 2026), which brought together researchers and practitioners from around the world on 27–28 August.
My lecture was entitled “Maharishi Ayurveda: Reviving the Ancient Science of Life for Modern Healthcare — A Consciousness-Based Approach to Disease Prevention, Rejuvenation, and Collective Health.”
What I wanted to convey is quite simple. Ayurveda does not begin with disease — it begins with balance. It works within four domains: mind, body, behaviour and environment. Through pulse diagnosis, imbalances can often be recognised long before physical symptoms appear. And through individualised herbal preparations, Panchakarma, daily and seasonal routines, Yoga and Transcendental Meditation, that balance can be restored.
What moved me most at this summit was the company. Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tibetan medicine, anthroposophic medicine, medical Qigong, epigenetics and precision medicine were all represented — and again and again the same conclusion emerged from very different directions: prevention, individualisation and the mind-body connection belong at the centre of healthcare, not at its margins.
My warm thanks to Dr. Angela Sanda Tudor and Dr. Mary Jo Bulbrook for the invitation, and to Scientific Alerts for organising the summit.

What a memorable day in London!
I had the privilege of speaking at the 21st Anniversary Celebration of the Ayurveda Practitioners Association of England (APA) — a wonderfully organised event in every way, bringing together dedicated Ayurveda practitioners and enthusiasts from across the country.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the entire organising committee, and in particular to its President, Dr. Kanchan Sharma, for creating such a warm, professional and inspiring atmosphere throughout the day.
I was deeply honoured to be invited as a Keynote Speaker and to present in both sessions of the day.
In my first talk, I shared Maharishi’s pioneering work in restoring Ayurveda to its full authenticity — its connection to modern science and its journey into the Western world. I also gave an overview of current scientific research, including some remarkable findings in the area of cancer research.
In the second session, I spoke about the consciousness-based approach of Maharishi AyurVeda — the role of enlightenment, the creation of world peace, and fascinating research on the slowing down of the aging process.
The conference featured outstanding scholars who presented wonderful research and compelling case studies — all pointing to the same conclusion: it is high time that Ayurveda be introduced into the healthcare systems of Western countries. This message resonated strongly throughout the day and sparked rich and meaningful discussions.
Both sessions were received with great warmth and enthusiasm, and the organising committee expressed a heartfelt desire to build a closer connection with Maharishi AyurVeda.
We also had two exhibition stalls, and I was delighted that 20 people signed up for an orientation meeting at the London TM Centre to learn more about the pulse reading course.
And one detail that made the day especially meaningful: the event took place at Colet House — the very same venue where Maharishi gave his very first talk when he came to England — a beautiful and humbling coincidence.

Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Ayurved and Research Centre Vom 17. bis 21. Februar 2026
From February 17 to 21, 2026, my three TM teacher colleagues from India and I once again had the great pleasure of introducing all approximately 100 new Ayurveda-Veda students at the Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Ayurveda and Research Centre to Transcendental Meditation (TM) for the fourth consecutive year.
The students were enthusiastic from the very beginning—many reported positive changes within the first few days, such as greater inner joy, increased balance, and significantly improved sleep.
A scientific comparative study was conducted with the 126 students from last year who learned TM, comparing them to students at a homeopathy college. The results were recently published in the renowned journal “Frontiers in Education.” They show a marked increase in emotional intelligence as well as a significant decrease in stress, anxiety, and sleep problems.
The new group is also being scientifically monitored.
The university is very satisfied with the results—which is why the program is now being expanded to other departments within the college.
Ayush Conference in Dubai and the 11th International Delegates’ Assembly (IDA) February 15–17, 2026
I had the great honor of participating in the 3rd Ayush Conference in Dubai and the 11th International Delegates Assembly (IDA) from February 15 to 17, 2026—two remarkable events that brought together global leaders, experts, and practitioners from the fields of traditional medicine, holistic health, and integrative systems.
The 3rd Dubai Ayush Conference highlighted the growing global significance of AYUSH systems, particularly Ayurveda, for promoting preventive healthcare, sustainability, and holistic well-being. The 11th International Delegates’ Assembly served as a vital platform for international dialogue, collaboration, and future partnerships.
On February 16, I gave a presentation at the International Delegates’ Assembly on the topic “The Happiness Index and the AYUSH Systems.” I discussed the challenges and successes of Ayurveda in Germany and presented scientific research findings on Panchakarma, Transcendental Meditation, and the role of collective consciousness in creating peace and harmony in society.
The presentation was very well received, and the networking opportunities were extremely fruitful. I am grateful that this inspiring exchange has already resulted in several promising speaking engagements.

Congress of the German Society for Ayurveda (DGA), Geboltskirchen, Austria
It was a special pleasure for me to participate as a speaker at the congress of the German Society for Ayurveda (DGA), which took place from 29 May to 1 June 2025 in Geboltskirchen, Austria.
The German Society for Ayurveda (DGA), founded in 1983 by dedicated doctors, is the oldest association of Ayurvedic doctors outside the Indian subcontinent.
As Director of the International Maharishi AyurVeda Foundation (Netherlands), I gave an overview of the worldwide activities and successes of Maharishi Ayurveda on all continents.
A highlight was the report on the 8th International Ayurveda Congress at the Dr D. Y. Patil University in Pune, India, which was attended by around 1,350 participants. A video presentation by Prof Dr Asmita Wele presented the most important research results of the event.
I had the honour of moderating the opening ceremony in Pune, where high-ranking guests such as the Indian Minister for AYUSH, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, and Dr Tony Nader, President of Maharishi International University, were welcomed.
The recent congress in Austria was characterised by a warm and inspiring atmosphere. The host family Schachinger, Home of Ayurveda Somamed, created an inviting setting with lovingly prepared Ayurvedic meals and well thought-out organisation.
The jazz concert by Dr Buchberger’s band was a special finale and provided a cheerful end to the event.
Guest lecturer at Dr Janna Scharfenberg's renowned Ayurveda Lifestyle Coach training
It was a pleasure to be part of Dr Janna Scharfenberg’s renowned Ayurveda Lifestyle Coach training as a guest lecturer.
A big thank you to Dr Scharfenberg for her inspiring work and the great platform she has created with her institute – a place for holistic learning and profound transformation in the spirit of Ayurveda.
I spoke to an enthusiastic audience of over 100 participants from Germany, Austria and Switzerland about my favourite topics:
Maharishi Ayurveda, the development of consciousness and the effects of Transcendental Meditation, supplemented by insights from my many years of practical experience.
This time was not only a valuable exchange of knowledge, but also a powerful impulse for the growing field of conscious health counsellors.
I am grateful to be part of this movement – for a healthy, fulfilling life in harmony with the laws of nature.

Honored to be a part of the 8th International Ayurveda Congress!
It was an absolute joy and privilege to serve as the moderator during the inaugural function and as a keynote speaker at the 8th International Ayurveda Congress held in Pune, India (February 1-2, 2025).
This prestigious event, themed “Ayurveda – The Science of Wholeness of Life: Evidence-Based Scientific Solutions,” brought together 1,350 delegates, including international experts from over 20 countries.

The inauguration of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ramayana University in Ayodhya
12th was a very special and uplifting experience. Ayodhya, an ancient city of India, is revered in Vedic culture as the ruling place of King Rama. It is said that under his rule, suffering was unknown and everyone’s wishes were fulfilled.
Under the leadership of Prakash Shrivastava, who is also the Chancellor of Maharishi University of Information Technology in Noida and Lucknow, wonderful and grand buildings are being constructed. The global leader of the Transcendental Meditation (TM) organization, Raja Raam Dr. Tony Nader, graced the assembly along with several dignitaries from India and other countries. Traditional Vedic pundits, the custodians of Vedic knowledge, performed authentic Yagyas and recitations.
Raja Raam Dr Tony Nader, honoured the gathering along with several dignitaries from India and other countries.
The university’s curriculum encompasses Vedic Science, Sanskrit, Humanities, Business Management, Technology, Law, Science, Pharmacy, and other disciplines. By exploring the timeless wisdom of the Ramayana and integrating it with modern knowledge, the university seeks to foster holistic development and societal transformation.
Nepal Visit: January 14–19
Visiting Nepal was another highlight of my journey so far. The German Foundation for the Promotion of Vedic Culture is supporting the training of 89 traditional Pundit schools, whose Vedic recitations are recognized by UNESCO as cultural heritage—perhaps the oldest tradition of knowledge in the world. In the picture, you can see some of these Pundits of the newly built Brahmananda Saraswati Nagar campus near Kathmandu, constructed according to the principles of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda.
Since my last visit about two years ago, I could clearly feel a rise in collective consciousness—evident in the improved air quality and cleaner streets of the capital.
An other highlight of the trip was the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences with government leaders and Ayurvedic physicians in Nepal. I had good meetings with the Health Minister and the Director General of the Health Ministry for Ayurveda and Complementary Medicine. I had the honor of inviting them to the 8th International Conference in Pune and was pleased that Director General Dr. Shyam Babu attended.
Additionally, I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Deepak Baskota, as well as Drs. Kingsley and Leslie Brooks—the great leaders of Maharishi’s Movement in Nepal—to review the progress of numerous projects. Another exciting development is that this autumn, in one of Nepal’s most beautiful locations—Lake Pokhara—a new Maharishi Ayurveda Center will be opened.
